When you are travelling by car, ship, plane or train, if you are suffering from motion sickness or travel sickness, you will have the feeling of nausea, sweating, dizziness which will lead to headache. If the motion continues you will start feeling worse and start vomiting at regular intervals. Motion sickness occurs when your brain receives conflicting messages from the organs inside eyes and ears. Children are more prone to to motion sickness than adults.

- One should make sure that you have access to fresh air. Avoid strong odour and smoking.
- Before commencing your travel eat little food. Avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks before or during the travel.

- While travelling in car or train one should try to focus on the horizon or something in a distance in the direction in which you are travelling.
- One should avoid reading, looking down or writing.
- While on board sitting at the right place is very important, in train try to choose window seat. In plane try to sit in the centre and in car sit in the front seat.
- If you have motion sickness try to plan your travel in the night, if only you can manage your sleep while travelling.
- Stay hydrated by drinking sufficient amount of water.
Remedies: If the motion sickness is persistent you should always consult you doctor he will prescribe some anti nausea medicine which will help in overcoming the problem.
Natural remedies: It is said that eating or nibbling a small piece of ginger before travel it may help in motion sickness.
